This 1 Day course will allow the adventurer who would just like to try Scuba Diving for a day. You will learn alot, and it’s tons of fun and perfectly safe as your instructor will be with you from start to finish. It’s perfect for those of you would like to try diving and do not have the four days or so that it takes to get fully certified. The day begins with 1-2 hours in the pool... then after lunch you go to the reef on the afternoon trip. What an amazing way to spend a day, and who knows, it could be just what you needed to get you started in becoming a Certified Open Water Scuba Diver! Prices range from $125 to $135 and includes all instruction, equipment and the the boat trip too. You know, it’s interesting, but think about the cost of taking a Resort Course like this: Many of the smarter Certified Divers that will be diving on holiday in a new and unfamiliar location will hire a dive master as an underwater guide, mostly to get more out of the dive and see more things that they would have otherwise missed. Attention SCUBA fanatics! If you’re coming to Key West, and you’re looking for premier dive sites and service, here is the company you will want to become acquainted with. We’re talking about Key West’s original of course! What do you get when you combine the 80+ degree Keys water temperature and stunning water clarity with Reef Raiders service and passion about diving? You have memories and stories you’ll revisit for years. The dive boat is a 35’ Crusader that takes a maximum of 10 divers at a time. Integrity is one of the words you will probably use to describe their operation once you dive with them, partly because their crew/diver ratio, 1 crew member for each 4 divers, is the highest in Key West! So who else thinks this company is good? How about Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Celebrity Cruise Lines, because these folks and their sister company are the sole provider of SCUBA Diving services for these 3 world famous cruise ship companies in Key West! Wow! The morning trip consists of two locations which usually include at least one wreck dive, the 2nd location also will depend on weather & water conditions. The afternoon is generally two shallow reef locations on the beautiful Atlantic side of the Keys. Welcome aboard “Phoenix”! She is the only 46’ Newton ‘Dive Special’ in Key West. With an 18 foot beam (width) and super high-tech design, she’ll zip you out to the shallow reefs and deep water wrecks in just 30 minutes flat! Are you a big fan of wrecks?... then go for the morning trip which does one wreck dive, followed by a shallow 1 hour coral reef location. The afternoon trip does two separate shallow reef locations. Duval Street Dive Store is open from 8am to 7pm at Truman and Duval, right next to the internet cafe... and their vessel runs out of the Hyatt Resort on Simonton. Not a Certified Diver? What are you waiting for? Duval Street Divers offers a number of solutions for getting in the water, no matter how much (or little) time you have available: They have a first class open water certification program (call to inquire) or you might even consider a ‘referral / check out dive’. This is where you do all your classroom work in your home town and then do your open water work in the crystal clear, balmy waters off Key West! Then again if you only have a day, try their ‘Resort Course’ which is in the pool in the morning and on the reef in the afternoon... the instructor is there with you to guide you along every step of the way - call ahead!

You get two full hours water-time at our two different reef locations! Snorkelers that come along will delight in knowing that they are going to snorkel with divers and go to “diver” type quality locations. We conduct a variety of different types of dives: shallow coral reef, outside-the-reef wrecks, deeper reef locations, night dives and specialty dives for your group if you desire to privately charter one of our vessels. Our dive vessel is specially equipped to accommodate divers and snorkelers that are paraplegic or have difficulty negotiating ladders. With this company you will find the most professional dive masters in Key West today. As a full-service dive operation in Key West, the full open water certification course is offered, the one day resort course as well, and they will gladly accommodate you with the referral ‘check out’ portion of your dive training; They actually have individual pricing for just 2 or all 4 of your qualifying open water dives.
