Experience the thrill of peacefully floating high above the tropical Atlantic waters off Key West’s main beach! Sunset Watersports is the original parasailing operation in Key West. I remember when I arrived on the island over 20 years ago, that big colorful parasail chute was one of my very first memories when I came around the corner on the way to the beach that day. Understand that parasailing is in no way like skydiving. It’s actually very peaceful with an amazing view sustained at a constant height. When I first went up, I was truly amazed at how gentle the whole ride was from start to finish... I came to understand that even a young child or elderly person would have no problem whatsoever. Flight time lasts between 12 to 15 minutes and you will be out on the boat for around an hour total. Come have some fun, it’s not at all scary and the view is great!

Parasailing Company II ~ Flying 600 feet over the Southernmost Point every day!

Almost Heaven’s other big claim to fame is having Key West’s highest (up to 600 feet!) and longest flights on the island. They start the day at 10 am and run until sunset, and speak of which (try flying at sunset). The two winch boats “Flying High” and “Fly-N-Time II” leave the dock up to every hour depending on passenger demand. “Flying High” carries up to 12 flying passengers and guests. “Fly-N-Time II” can carry up to 6. We’re talking state-of-the-art technology in these boats - What that means to you is you will not be lifted from another boat or shore or platform. You depart from and land on the same boat (much safer). It’s very important to understand that parasailing is in no way like skydiving.
